MUSIC

Not that anyone should care, One of my three classes (when I was still in school) was Music & Computers. Its where you do Music on Computers! No way? Well, Yes way I say! The first program I used for notation and music making software was Noteworthy Composer. It is a very VERY simple program. So far, it just so happens to be my favourite. Though not powerful like finale, it gets the job done. However, in Music and Computers, we started off with a program that does a lot of the work for you: Band in a box. This program creates your accompaniment when you add in chords and select the style of music. However the notation side of it is weak. The latest program I use for composition is Cubasis VST. So, without further adieu (a-doo?) I present you music that I have mostly created, though every now and then I feel that I should host some songs that aren't mine. Some are not going to be copyrighted, while others will be. I have to be careful online, so if you think that something shouldn't be here, let me know.

This was my first song for Band in a box. It only sounds good if you set your midi to a high quality on a good sound card, otherwise, don't bother.

This next song I found online while searching for Video Game Music. Note: I didn't write this song, and in fact, I'd like to know who did, that way I could give them the credit. I believe they were trying to pull off a mario party type of song.

For a tutorial in finale (our current program of use) we had to play Frére Jacques, well, I didn't think that was sufficient, so it is now played by six(6) different people sounds pretty neat.

For all of those that like CHRONO TRIGGER, well, this song is for you. I will NEVER be able to take credit for this song unfortunately. The Composer of this song happens to be the world renowned video game composer: Yasunori Mitsuda! Though, its hard enough to rip sprites from roms, getting sound files aren't any easier. So a great guy that has an abundant talent arranged this song for us. kLuTz, is his alias. He has inspired me in the sense that he is only 19 years old and can make these masterpieces on the computer. Everyone must check out his site to hear the rest of his songs: klutz.cjb.net and now all those that heard of kLuTz know what song is going to presented. Yup, that's right: 600 A.D.! This song is absolutely amazing! well, I'm done ranting and raving about the greatness of this song, so here it is.
*Note: if someone thinks that this song shouldn't be here, please let me know*

This next song isn't really even a song. it was just me fooling around in Finale. I was trying to create an interesting rhythm but it turned into a type of intro. I can probably pick it apart and make something out of it.

This song sounds quite neat, in fact it sounds a lot like the first song in Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusions. Well, not quite. but it did at first. Which reminds me. I better go play that game.
Funny side note. Every time I go into my admin panel, I see more and more people coming to my site in search of Mickey mouse roms. Funny isn't it?

This is an assignment my teacher had us do. It was the first project we did in Cubasis VST. This is a simple drum loop. I had converted it to MP3 so that it sounds correct on everyones sound card. Otherwise, it's just garbage on some people's CPU's, but it didn't work too well, so here it is without mpeg 1 layer 3 format.

This is part of a small project I'm thinking of doing. I just picked up a hymn book and transcribed it in Noteworthy. I have hundreds to do. This is the first of many to come over time.

This was a song that I did for my final project in Music and Computers. I made this song, and it is called Jovial. It is a song that expresses its happiness through steel drums and electric guitars

This one was made in Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Audition 1.5. Technically, they are the same thing, but Audition is the upgrade of the old software. I was making this as I was installing Audition. So, you can say I used both.
